Prior to coming to Guelph, Dr. Haines was a junior faculty member at the Obesity Prevention Program at Harvard Medical School.  In 2015, she received a CIHR New Investigator Award. Her research focuses on developing and testing family-based interventions aimed at promoting healthful eating, activity and sleep behaviours among preschool-aged children. She is the Associate Director of the Guelph Family Health Study, a cohort of families with preschool-age children (Director: Dr. David Ma).
