Sharon Kirkpatrick is a registered dietitian and Assistant Professor at the School of Public Health and Health Systems at the University of Waterloo. Her work focuses mainly on methodologic issues associated with measuring what people eat and drink and strategies to mitigate measurement error in dietary assessment. She was previously a nutritionist with the Risk Factor Monitoring and Methods Branch of the U.S. National Cancer Institute and received two National Institutes of Health Awards of Merit for her work related to dietary assessment. She holds a PhD in Nutritional Sciences and Master of Health Science in Community Nutrition from the University of Toronto. Dr. Kirkpatrick is funded by a Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute Capacity Development Award.
