Tommy Cederholm is a Professor of Clinical Nutrition. His research focuses on energy, fat and protein interactions with disease, catabolism, inflammation, body composition and nutritional status in older adults, chronically ill subjects and patients with dementia. He is head of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism, Department of Public Health and Caring Sciences, Uppsala University, Sweden. Dr. Cederholm is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine and works part-time as a Senior Consultant in Geriatrics at Uppsala University Hospital. Professor Cederholm's research includes approximately 200 peer-reviewed articles. He is the current treasurer of ESPEN and member of ESPEN Executive Committee, the former Chairman of SWESPEN, and previously on the Board of the Swedish Geriatric Society. Dr. Cederholm was on the organizing committees of the ESPEN Congresses in Stockholm 1999 and Gothenburg 2011. He is a Fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry, and a working member of the Royal Academy of Science.
