Dr. Mei Chung is an assistant professor at the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine of the Tufts University School of Medicine. Before transitioned to Tufts University, she was an assistant director of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's designated Tufts Evidence-based Practice Center. She led and co-led many evidence reports to inform health-related policy and clinical guideline developments across diverse health questions and several evidence reports have impacted public health nutrition policy and Affordable Care Act coverage decisions. Because of her long-standing research interests in advancing knowledge synthesis methods with a special focus on nutrition science, she has authored a series of methodological research papers to improve the understanding of the challenges involved in conducting nutrition-related systematic reviews and to develop new methods for overcoming these challenges.
